Aircraft Avionics Specialist
1-Assists the RSAF in the analysis and solution of engineering problems related to avionics systems and equipment. Evaluates analytical possibilities and devises method for the solution of problems. Performs analysis of communication, navigation, radar and instrument systems and equipment.
2-Assist the RSAF in creating original design for changes to existing systems to improve reliability, maintainability or performance. Selects materials, components and process suitable for the conditions associated with the end use of the systems or equipment. Evaluates the design of proposed new systems and equipment or change to existing systems and equipment to determine that design criteria have been met.
3-Prepares specifications for the design and performance of avionics systems and equipment. Devises tests to be performed to verify performance to specification requirements.
4-Monitors test programs associated with avionics systems and equipment. Evaluates test data to identify problems and or/verify performance.
5-Provides guidance and instruction to other engineers in the filed of avionics engineering. Organizes and conducts informal On-the job-Training (OJT). Recommends additional formal training to enhance the engineering capabilities of other engineers.
